Stop Me If You Think You’ve Heard This One Before is the fourth and final volume of the SoBo Series, a Smiths and Morrissey themed running event held on the beachfront promenade at Southbourne Beach, Bournemouth, Dorset. The route runs along a beach hut-lined promenade with views along the coast towards the Isle of Wight and Swanage.
The course is a flat, tarmacked out and back loop. Each lap measures 5.3 km (3.28 miles) with no elevation gain or loss. The route is officially measured and certified by the Association of UK Course Measurers so it can count as a road marathon for qualification purposes.
Participants may choose their distance on the day, with options ranging from shorter distances up to ultramarathon distance. All finishers of one lap or more receive a metal vinyl inspired medal. Number pick-up happens on the day at race registration.
A dedicated aid station is located at the start and finish of each lap and offers drinks plus a range of sweet and savoury snacks. There is an area to leave personal items. The event is cupless so participants should bring their own cup. Public toilets and showers are available along the promenade. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
