New Forest Stinger 2026
New Forest Stinger 2026 is an off-road trail race organised by Totton Running Club on Sunday 22 November 2026 at Ocknell Campsite, Fritham, Lyndhurst SO43 7HH. The event features a 10 mile undulating trail route through the New Forest and is held under Trail Running Association permit within UK Athletics rules for trail running.
The event entry includes an exclusive medal, medical cover, free parking, a goody bag and spot prizes, water stations, toilets, and trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places plus age category trophies for 40+, 50+, 60+ and 70+. Numbers are collected on the day from race headquarters; participants should allow time to collect them before the start. The published start line is about 1 km from race headquarters.
Key participant rules and notes: the minimum age is 17, the maximum number of entrants is 301, and entries close on 19 November 2026. Dogs are not permitted with runners on the course. The course is unsuitable for standard wheelchairs, though the start and finish area is access friendly for supporters. Use of MP3 players and similar devices on the course is not permitted under UK Athletics rules; bone conducting headphones are allowed. Transfers are permitted. If the race is cancelled any remaining funds after costs will be paid to the club charity. Participants are asked not to attend if they are COVID-19 positive or symptomatic.
