2026 Snowball Dash 5k & 10k
The event takes place on January 3, 2026 at Chet Hobert Park in Berryville, VA. It offers trail running on a mostly gravel dirt path with no major elevation changes. The 10k is an out-and-back course run twice; the 5k is a single out-and-back. Points from the event count toward the Year-Long 5k, 10k, and Back of the Pack Series and the Winter Series. The race benefits K-9 Caring Angels. A virtual run option is available.

Race details and services
Runners receive a finisher medal, a technical (Drifit) event shirt, and chip timing. T-shirts are guaranteed for runners registered before December 17; extras may be available after that date on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration fees listed for early pricing: 5k $30 until December 15 ($35 after), 10k $45 until December 15 ($50 after). Price increases by $5 on race morning for each distance. Packet pickup is available at the event; participants are asked to arrive about one hour before their scheduled start to check in. Race day registration is available, but shirt sizes cannot be guaranteed for those registering on race day.
There are three water stations on the 10k course (approximate mile markers 1.55, 3.1, 4.65) and one on the 5k (approx. mile 1.55); Gatorade may be available at some stations. Live results will be posted online and via a race QR code; final results with series points are posted on the Monday after the event.
