The Sherwood Outpaw Series event takes place on 14 December 2025 at Adrenalin Jungle Activity Centre, Deerdale Lane off the A614, Bilsthorpe, Nottinghamshire, NG22 8SY. The trail consists of a mixture of terrain; athletes are advised to wear suitable footwear. Parking is free but spaces are limited, and spectators are expected to travel with entrants. Race categories, fees and rules
The event is organised by Sherwood Cani Sports Club and offers long and short course formats plus junior, cub and bikejor/scoot classes. Categories include long course (single and two-dog classes, age bands for adults), short course (single and two-dog classes), Junior 14-17 (long or short), Junior 10-13 (short), Cubs (9 and under), Bikejor Long - 1 dog and Scoot Long - 1 dog. Entry fees are: Long Course £22.00 (club members £20.00), Short Course £17.00 (club members £15.00), Juniors £13.00, and Cubs race free.
Racing operates under the British Sleddog Sports Federation rules with local adaptations. Key rules include racer age taken as age on race day, no dog under 12 months on site and no dog under 18 months on the long course, and a missed start can incur a 20 second time penalty.
