Trails of Mena : 21 March 2026
Trails of Mena is a trail running event held at North Wingfield Community Resource Centre, Chesterfield, Derbyshire. The event offers two distances:
- Trail Marathon
- 20 mile trail run
Entrants must be 18 years or older. Entries open 22 July 2025 and close 14 March 2026. Entry fees are listed as: 20 mile £28 affiliated / £30 non-affiliated; Marathon £30 affiliated / £32 non-affiliated.
Course and support
The route is a clockwise circular course that uses track, maintained trail, field and woodland. The race heads out via the 5 Pits Trail to Sutton Scarsdale, moves toward Hardwick Hall without entering its grounds, follows the Rowthorne Trail to Silverhill and returns on the 5 Pits Trail to race HQ. The course is lightly marked with arrows at major junctions and GPX files and route notes are available to assist navigation. Marshals will be positioned on course.
Support includes aid stations and water stops (two aid stations were indicated for the marathon and additional water stops for other races). All finishers receive a Trails of Mena medal, a warm cuppa and light refreshments. The event is the second edition and will make a donation to Spaniel Aid UK.
