About the race
SHEATH 5/10K Run & Walk is a community running event held at Martin Luther King Park in San Antonio, TX on November 7, 2026. The organizer is SHEATH Underwear, a veteran-owned, family-run activewear company. The event features professionally timed races and on-course support.

- 5K
- 10K
Both the 5K and 10K are professionally timed by IAAP. The first 150 runners receive an official SHEATH race T-shirt and finisher medal. Cash prizes are awarded for the podium in each race category for both male and female divisions: 1st $250, 2nd $150, 3rd $100.
Registration details are provided for each distance:
- 5K registration opens July 21, 2026 and closes November 7, 2026; fee $30.
- 10K registration opens July 23, 2026 and closes November 7, 2026; fee $30.
Packet and bib pickup takes place at the park pavilion on race morning. After the finish there will be games, prizes, food, and a post-race celebration for participants and families. Local vendors will be present with details to be announced.
This is a rain-or-shine event with a safety policy: if thunder or lightning occurs, organizers will hold the start and reassess in 30-minute windows up to one hour until conditions are safe. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
