Event overview
The SARR Rocky Horror Trail Run is scheduled for Saturday, October 24, 2026, at Eisenhower Park, San Antonio, TX 78257. The event offers in-person and virtual race options with a total participant cap of 350 runners. Registration opened December 1, 2025; SARR members receive a 25% online discount through September 27, 2026. Race entries include a race t-shirt (unisex sizes while supplies last) and a finishers medal; 53K finishers also receive a beanie and sticker. The race is chip-timed and bib chips are on the back of the bib. No refunds.

- 53K : 10 loops, 33 miles, 4000 ft gain
- 27K : 5 loops, 16.5 miles, 2000 ft gain
- 10K : 2 loops, 6.6 miles, 800 ft gain
- 5K : 1 loop, 3.3 miles, 400 ft gain
Course, aid stations and logistics
The course is a 3.3-mile loop that runs on natural trails (Hillview, Shady Creek, Red Oak, Live Oak) with many rocks and roots and about 400 feet of elevation per loop. There are three paved sections totaling just under 3/4 mile. Aid: the race is cupless; participants must carry a hydration device or collapsible cup. One aid station at mile 2 will offer water and electrolytes; water and electrolytes will also be available at the start/finish. A bag drop and additional aid station will be available for 53K/27K near the finish with a variety of food and nutrition.
Packet pickup is available Friday, October 23 at REI San Antonio and Saturday morning at Eisenhower Park - Harris Mass Pavilion. Awards are given to the Top 3 Overall and Top 3 Masters (40+) M/F/Non-binary per distance by chip time; no age-group awards. Other notes: no dogs or strollers on course, first aid tent with EMTs on site, limited parking, and virtual entrants must add shipping if they want mailed packets.
