SARR Rocky Horror Trail Run
The SARR Rocky Horror Trail Run takes place on October 24, 2026 at Eisenhower Park in San Antonio. The event uses a 3.3 mile loop called the "Time Warp" that features about 400 feet of elevation per loop and runs on natural rocky, elevated trails.
Distances offered include:
- 53K - 10 loops, 33 miles, 4000 ft gain
- 27K - 5 loops, 16.5 miles, 2000 ft gain
- 10K - 2 loops, 6.6 miles, 800 ft gain
- 5K - 1 loop, 3.3 miles, 400 ft gain
The course uses Hillview, Shady Creek, Red Oak and Live Oak trail systems and includes three paved segments totaling just under three quarters of a mile. There is one aid station at mile 2 and water and electrolytes at the start and finish. The race is cupless; participants must carry their own hydration device or a collapsible cup. A bag drop and extended aid station will be available for 53K and 27K runners near the finish with a variety of race nutrition.
Awards are given to the top three overall and top three masters 40+ in male, female and non-binary categories by chip time. There are no age group awards. A costume contest and a post race gathering at the Harris Mass Pavilion with refreshments and a DJ are part of the event. The race is chip timed, capped at 350 runners, has EMT first aid on site, and posts results and photos within seven days. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
