Calaverita Run 5K and Family Walk
The Calaverita Run 5K and Family Walk is a community event held in San Antonio during Día de los Muertos observances. The event combines a running event, a family walk, and shared remembrance activities at La Gloria at Pearl parking lot on October 24, 2026.

- 1 mile Family Walk
Participants can place a photo of a loved one on their race bib and add names to the "For Whom Do You Run" wall. A community altar provides a collective display where photos and remembrances may be placed. The evening program also features a costume contest, a group warmup, local vendors, and an awards ceremony.
Packet pickup is available before the event on October 21 at La Gloria Pearl and October 22 at La Gloria Brooks, with additional pickup on event day at La Gloria Pearl. Event giveaways are limited to the first registrants: giveaways for the first 325 5K registrants and for the first 100 walkers. 5K finisher medals are awarded to the first 325 finishers.
