The in-person event stages from the Bear Tooth Grill parking lot at 1230 W 27th Ave and follows a loop through Spenard, Hillcrest Drive, Forrest Park, Wood Worth Circle, the Coastal Trail, Chester Creek Trail, and West High Hill before returning to the Bear Tooth area.
Logistics, amenities and policies
Registration pricing tiers are listed for 2026 with a best-deal price, regular rate, and late rate. Packet pickup is available on days before the event at Skinny Raven locations and on event day at the Bear Tooth Theatre; virtual participants may request packet mailing. Each participant receives a beanie, a pint glass, and a $10 Bear Tooth voucher valid through the end of March. Lucky Shamrock t-shirts are available as an add-on for $22 (50/25/25 polyester/cotton/rayon tri-blend).
Awards are presented in the theatre; prizes go to the top 3 overall men, women, and non-binary finishers and to age-class winners. Overall awards are based on gun time; age-class awards use chip time. Bag drop will be available on the theatre stage. Parking is available at West High School and several nearby lots, though access to some lots may be affected by course closures as the race start approaches.
No pets, bicycles, or rollerblades are allowed in the race. Participants with baby joggers or strollers are asked to start at the back of the field and be courteous to other participants.
Virtual participation
Virtual entrants may run a course of their choice between March 7 and March 14, submit results manually or via a tracking app, download a finisher certificate, and choose packet pickup or shipping. Shipping options include free and paid choices; paid shipping fees for pint/hat are listed for in-state and lower 48 delivery. The event supports Running Free Alaska, an organization that provides structured running programs and post-release running support for women affected by incarceration.
