Skinny Raven Turkey Trot - Anchorage, Alaska
The Skinny Raven Turkey Trot is a Thanksgiving Day running and walking event held on November 26, 2026. The in-person event is staged from the Dena'ina Civic & Convention Center in downtown Anchorage with a course that travels through downtown and finishes inside the Dena'ina Center. The event offers both in-person and virtual participation.

Packet pickup is available on multiple days before the event and there is limited race-day bib pickup for those who cannot attend pre-event pickups. Virtual participants may complete their chosen distance anywhere and must post their result on November 26; virtual packets can be mailed and shipping options include free in-state shipping and a $5 fee for shipments outside Alaska.
Awards include prizes for the top three overall men and women in the 5K and pies for Turkey Trot age class winners. The Mini Turkey awards pies to the top three 10 and under. Age classes are 1-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80+ for both men and women.
The event partners with the Food Bank of Alaska; donations through registration are directed to the Food Bank. A food drive runs November 1 through November 26 at Skinny Raven with a 2026 fundraising goal of $15,000 and 1,000 pounds of food. A long sleeve tech shirt is included with registration; registrants may opt out and have the shirt value donated to the Food Bank. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
