Eagle Trot 5K
The Eagle Trot 5K is an inaugural, timed road race held on Thanksgiving Day in Eagle River, Alaska. The event is a community-focused 5K organized by Eagle River Community Runners and is described as a way to start the holiday with a local run.
Entry fee is listed at $35. Every registered runner receives a J. America crewneck featuring the inaugural Eagle Trot logo; organizers guarantee crewneck availability for entries registered by November 1, while registrations after that date may still receive a crewneck but race-day pickup cannot be guaranteed. Registration opens September 21, 2026 and the event date is November 26, 2026. The listing shows 207 spots remaining.
A portion of event proceeds benefits the Chugiak Eagle River Food Pantry. Organizers will host a food drive at race check in and will accept non perishable items to help stock local shelves during the holiday season.
The description emphasizes the inaugural nature of the race, the included crewneck as a keepsake from the first year, the charitable contribution to the local food pantry, and the timed 5K format. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
