AdventHealth Cool Sommer Mornings Triathlon Series
The AdventHealth Cool Sommer Mornings Series concludes its fourth event of the year at the Clermont Waterfront Park in Florida. This multi-sport event features a range of distances and disciplines centered around Lake Minneola. The September installment carries the theme of the Mysterious Kraken.
Participants can choose from a variety of race formats including traditional multisport distances and running-only options:
- 5K Run/Walk: A 3.1-mile run along the Lake Minneola trail.
- Sprint Triathlon: Includes a .25-mile swim, an 8.2-mile bike, and a 3.1-mile run.
- Sprint Duathlon: Consists of a 1-mile run, an 8.2-mile bike, and a 3.1-mile run.
- Sprint Aquabike: Combines a .25-mile swim and an 8.2-mile bike.
- Sprint Aquathlon: A .25-mile swim followed by a 3.1-mile run.
The 2026 series introduces "Double" options for those seeking longer distances. These events require participants to complete the sprint courses back-to-back. The Double Triathlon involves repeating the swim, bike, and run sequence twice for a total of 23.1 miles. Similar double formats are available for the Duathlon and Aquabike categories.
A special High School Student Challenge is available for athletes aged 14 to 19. These participants compete in a dedicated wave rather than standard age group waves, with awards provided to the top five male and female finishers. Relay options are also available for both the standard and double triathlon distances. For those unable to attend in person, a virtual race option is provided with domestic shipping for participants within the USA. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
