22nd Annual SGT Nutter 5K
The 22nd Annual Sergeant Nutter 5K Run takes place at the Army National Guard Training Center in Sea Girt, New Jersey. Organized by the SGT Sam Nutter Organization Inc (SSNO) and hosted by Class 69 of the New Jersey Army National Guard Officer Candidate School (NJOCS), this event is held in memory of Sergeant Samuel Nutter. The event serves as a fundraiser to support a New Jersey National Guard service member and their family.
Participants have the option to complete the course as a run or a walk. In addition to the main event, the program includes specific distances for younger participants and a virtual participation option.
Distances available for participants:
- 5K (In-person and virtual options available)
- 800 meters (1/2 mile for ages 10 to 13)
- 200 meters (Youth run/walk for ages 6 to 9)
An awards ceremony follows the conclusion of the races. Medals are presented to the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as the top three male and female participants in various age brackets ranging from 13 and under to 80 and over.
