Event overview
The 22nd Annual SGT Nutter 5K takes place on Saturday, June 20, 2026, in Sea Girt, New Jersey. The race is hosted by Class 69 of the New Jersey Army National Guard Officer Candidate School at the Army National Guard Training Center, located at 100 Camp Drive, Sea Girt, NJ 08750. Entry for 2026 will open on or around January 1, 2026.
Race format and purpose
The event includes an on-site 5K run and a virtual run option. It is organized by the SGT Sam Nutter Organization Inc (SSNO) in memory of Sergeant Samuel Nutter. The event is intended to benefit the family of a New Jersey National Guard service member. SSNO is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit and states that 100% of the proceeds will be donated.
Awards
There will be an awards ceremony at the end of the event. Medals will be given to the Top 3 Male and Top 3 Female overall finishers, and to the Top 3 Male and Top 3 Female in each of these age brackets: 12 and under; 13-18; 19-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70-79; 80+.
