A Walk for Julie Memorial 5K

Second annual memorial walk at the Jersey Shore

This is the second annual memorial walk held on the Seaside Boardwalk in Seaside Park, New Jersey. The event uses a step-off at the sawmill at 1807 Boardwalk and features a relaxed, family-oriented walk along the boardwalk. In 2026 more than 250 participants and 65 sponsors helped raise over $30,000 in memory of the honoree.

Funds raised in 2026 were distributed through the West Orange Firefighters Foundation and supported organizations including Wigs on Wheels, Knitting for Cancer, K9s For Warriors, Minette's Angels, and the CJ Waldron Foundation. For 2027 the event will support Toms River East Little League (TRELL) to help provide local children with baseball opportunities.

A post-walk celebration takes place at the Beachcomber Bar & Grill with pizza, drinks, music, tricky tray raffles, and a 50/50 drawing.
