Event Overview
A Walk for Julie Memorial 5K is a non-competitive community event held in memory of Julie. It brings together family, friends, and the community to honor her life, celebrate her spirit, and support charitable causes.
Course & Format
Participants walk or jog a scenic down-and-back route along the Seaside Boardwalk. The route starts at Sawmill, goes to 14th Avenue, turns around, and finishes in front of the Beachcomber Bar and Grill. The boardwalk will remain open to the public during the event. The event is family-friendly and open to all ages.
This is not a timed race. There are no awards or competitive placements.
Post-Event & Charitable Cause
Following the walk, pizza and drinks are included at the Beachcomber Bar and Grill. There will also be raffle prizes and a 50/50 draw.
All proceeds from the event go to the West Orange Firefighters Foundation and Wigs on Wheels. Wigs on Wheels is a company that provides wigs to patients undergoing chemotherapy, including free wigs for children in treatment. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
