Event overview
Run The Hook 5K/10K takes place on Sunday, May 10, 2026, at Lot I, Sandy Hook National Park. The event is the 11th annual edition and supports the local non-profit Clean Ocean Action; a portion of proceeds is donated to that organization. The course is a closed course on Sandy Hook, a peninsula bordered by the Atlantic Ocean and Sandy Hook Bay. All runners receive a commemorative pint glass at the finish, a t-shirt, and chip timed results. The event is organized as a single-use plastic free race.

Advanced bib and shirt pick up is scheduled at Road Runner Sports on Saturday, May 9 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Same-day packet pick up will be available in the start/finish area beginning at 7:30 AM. Bibs will be assigned at check-in and one person may pick up for multiple runners if they have the bib numbers. Additional event information is available on the race website.
