Event overview
Run The Hook 5K/10K is scheduled for Sunday, May 10, 2026, at Sandy Hook National Park, Lot I. This is the 11th annual edition. The event includes the following distances:
- 5K
- 10K
- Kids Run (open to ages 5 - 12; distances: TBA)
The race supports the local non-profit Clean Ocean Action. A portion of proceeds is donated to that organization. The course is a closed course on Sandy Hook National Park and the event uses chip timing. All runners receive a commemorative pint glass at the finish and a t-shirt.
Logistics and additional information
Registration for the events opens February 24, 2026 at 10:00 AM EST. Listed entry fees are $45 for the 5K, $55 for the 10K, and $25 for the Kids Run. Advanced bib and shirt pickup is scheduled at Road Runner Sports on Saturday, May 9 (11:00 AM - 2:00 PM). Same-day pickup is available in the start/finish area beginning at 7:30 AM. Bibs will be assigned at check-in and one person may pick up for multiple runners if they have the runners' bib numbers. The event is organized as a single-use plastic free event.
