About the Event
The Marine Corps Run for Freedom 5K takes place in Freehold, New Jersey. The event supports veterans, with proceeds directed to the Marine Raiders Foundation, the Semper Fi Fund, and the Philip A. Reynolds Marine Corps League Detachment.
Event Format
Participants have several options: a 5K run, a 5K walk, a 5K ruck, and a veterans-only 5K run for active-duty military and veterans. There is also a 5K virtual option.
Course Details
The route is a loop through Freehold Township that starts and ends at iPlay America. The terrain is relatively flat on wide streets. The course is USATF certified and chip-timed.
Additional Information
Registration fees start at $25 and increase closer to the event date. The race takes place rain or shine. Age group awards are given to the first, second, and third-place finishers in each category. Participants receive a custom Marine Corps commemorative run shirt and a finisher medal. A bar is available on-site after the race. Service dogs are permitted.
