SERVE Kelowna - 5k Run Fundraiser
This event is described as the inaugural SERVE Kelowna 5k Run/Walk. It offers a 5 km run and a 2 km walk, with a pancake breakfast associated with the walk.
The event takes place at Mission Creek Regional Park on December 13 and is organized to raise funds for recovery and community support, with a focus on addiction recovery and assistance for families during the Christmas season.
Raised funds support programs such as Freedom’s Door, which provides men's recovery services, mental health support, shelter, and faith-based transformation, as well as the local food bank. The S.E.R.V.E. mission is presented with these values: S - Serve with purpose, E - Engage with our city, R - Reach beyond comfort zones, V - Value every life equally, E - Encourage lasting change.
Registration options include solo participation or joining/creating a team and participants are encouraged to fundraise. Donations are processed through Zeffy and 100% of donations go to the nonprofit. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
