Apple Triathlon and 2026 Age Group National Championships
The Kelowna Argus Apple Triathlon is the host of the 2026 Triathlon Canada Age Group National Championships for Sprint Standard and Standard Aquabike on August 9 2026. The event uses a lakeside course in Kelowna with an expo and package pickup area at City Park. Three qualifying spots per age category are available in the Sprint Standard and Standard Aquabike events. Eligible athletes must claim their spot through Triathlon Canada after the event. No prior qualification is required to race in the National Championships at the Argus Apple Triathlon.
Race formats and distances include:
- Standard: 1500 m swim, 40 km bike, 10 km run
- Sprint: 750 m swim, 20 km bike, 5 km run
- Supersprint: 300 m swim, 10 km bike, 2.5 km run
- Kids 12 to 15: 300 m swim, 10 km bike, 2.5 km run
- Kids 10 to 11: 200 m swim near shore, 5 km bike, 1 km run
- Kids 6 to 9: 100 m swim near shore, 2.5 km bike, 650 m run
The weekend program includes expo and package pickup, mandatory bike check in for certain events, race briefings, transition operations and awards presentations. Entries are non refundable unless optional refund insurance is purchased during registration. Transfers and distance downgrades are allowed until August 4 2026 under stated conditions and fees.
