Semper Fi Strides 5K / 1 Mile Walk
The Semper Fi Strides event is the 6th annual 5K and 1-mile walk held in West Village Town Square, 1001 Apollo Road, Scott, LA, on November 21, 2026. The event benefits the Marine Corps League Acadiana Detachment 488 and includes a presentation of the Colors before the 5K, food, a photo booth, and post-event activities.

Registration opened on March 5, 2026. The published fee structure is $30 for registrations by November 7, 2026, and $35 for late registration from November 8 through November 21, 2026. Registration includes a t-shirt and a finisher's medal; t-shirts are guaranteed for registrations completed by November 7, 2026. Packet pickup is at Geaux Run, 906 Harding Street, Lafayette, LA 70503 on Friday, November 20, 2026, from 11 AM-6 PM, and on event day at the registration tent beginning at 7 AM.
A Military Service Yard Sign option is available for $10 each to honor a family member who is deceased, a veteran, or on active duty; signs may include "In Memory Of," name, rank, branch, and dates of service and will be displayed along the race route.
Age groups are 1-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. Awards include overall male and female and first through third in each 10-year age group starting at 20-29. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
