Event Overview
The Dasher Dancer Prancer 5K is a running event scheduled for Saturday, December 5, 2026. It offers two participation options: an in-person 5K run and a virtual 5K.
Location and Parking
The event starts at the Carencro Community Center on 5115 N. University Avenue in Carencro, Louisiana. Parking is available at the community center or at the Carencro Library next door.
Event Details
The run is held in conjunction with the Carencro Country Christmas festival. After the race, participants can join Christmas activities at the community center. Costumes are welcome but not required.
Medals are awarded to the overall male and female finishers, and to first and second place in each age category. The listed age groups are 1-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, and 50 and up.
Charity
All profits from the event are donated to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The event is also part of the "Miles for Hope" series, where completing this and two other specified races earns an additional medal, with all races in the series benefiting St. Jude.
