Camellia Crossing - Acadiana’s Gleaux Run
Camellia Crossing is a nighttime community run and walk held on Thanksgiving Eve that raises funds for Miles Perret Cancer Services. The event is presented as an annual fundraiser; 2026 is described as the 23rd edition and organizers expect over 4,500 participants.
The event takes place along Camellia Boulevard and includes illuminated "gleaux" elements. Organizers provide gleaux gear and invite participants to express creativity with their glow attire. The event uses a staged start with six separate waves; wave assignments are printed on participant bibs. Competitive runners are typically placed in the earliest waves while walkers and stroller users are placed in later waves to improve start line flow.
