Scouting America Half Marathon & Tenderfoot 5K
The Scouting America event in 2026 includes a half marathon and a Tenderfoot 5K on August 29, 2026, at the Wood County Fairgrounds in Bowling Green, Ohio. The race has been held since 2009 and the half marathon course tours parts of Bowling Green.

The Tenderfoot 5K is a 3.1 mile route around Bowling Green and finishes on the fairgrounds. The half marathon and 5K have maximum fields of 300 and 200 runners respectively. Minimum ages are 13 for the half marathon and 6 for the 5K. Course open times are listed as 3 hours for the half marathon and 1 hour for the 5K.
All registered participants receive a pancake breakfast served by area Scouters at a shelter near the finish line on the fairgrounds. Additional pancake breakfasts for family and friends are available for $10. The event takes place on the Wood County Fairgrounds at 13800 W Poe Rd, Bowling Green, OH 43402.
