2026 Scouting America Half Marathon, 10K & Tenderfoot 5K
The Scouting America marathon events take place in Bowling Green, Ohio, starting at the Wood County Fairgrounds. Established in 2009, this event serves as a seasonal performance check for participants training for later full marathons. The course provides a tour of the local Bowling Green area.
Participants can choose from three different race distances:
- Half Marathon (minimum age 13)
- 10K (6.2 miles, minimum age 9)
- Tenderfoot 5K (3.1 miles, minimum age 6)
The event features specific field limits to manage the number of participants, with a maximum of 300 runners for the half marathon and 200 runners each for the 10K and 5K distances. Course time limits are set at three hours for the half marathon, two hours for the 10K, and one hour for the 5K.
An "all you can eat" pancake breakfast is included for all registered participants. This meal is served by area Scouters inside a shelter near the finish line at the fairgrounds.
