Event overview
The Scouting America Half Marathon, 10K and Tenderfoot 5K takes place on August 29, 2026 at the Wood County Fairgrounds in Bowling Green, Ohio. The event is organized by Scouting America / Erie Shores Council and includes in-person and virtual options. Entry limits are set by event: maximum fields are 300 for the half marathon and 200 for each of the 5K and 10K. Minimum ages are 13 for the half marathon, 9 for the 10K, and 6 for the 5K. Course and services
The half marathon follows a very flat route through the heart of a college downtown with varied scenery including industrial areas, downtown streets, wooded bike paths, a golf course neighborhood, and City Park. Water stops are staffed by local scout troops in uniform. A post-race refreshment zone offers chocolate milk, fresh fruit and other items. A pancake breakfast is served by scout troops at a shelter near the finish line and is included with participant registration; additional breakfasts are available for purchase.
