Scouting America Half Marathon and Tenderfoot 5K
The Scouting America event on August 29, 2026 is held at the Wood County Fairgrounds in Bowling Green, Ohio. It features two timed race distances and a community pancake breakfast served by local Scouters inside the shelter near the finish area. Additional pancake breakfasts are available for purchase for family and friends for $10.
The event was established in 2009 and is presented as a tune up for fall marathon training. Course access windows are specified for each distance and field sizes are limited. Minimum age requirements apply for each race.

Organizers list a maximum field of 300 for the half marathon and 200 for the 5K. The half marathon course is open for three hours and the 5K course is open for one hour. Minimum ages are 13 for the half marathon and 6 for the 5K. The 5K route finishes in front of the pancake breakfast shelter on the fairgrounds, adjacent to the half marathon finish area.
