The Scouting America race day in Bowling Green, Ohio, on Saturday, August 29, 2026, includes multiple event options:

Details
The half marathon follows a very flat route through a college downtown and passes industrial areas, downtown streets, wooded bike paths, a golf course neighborhood, and City Park. Water stops are staffed by local scout troops in uniform. A post-race refreshment zone, sponsored by Southeastern Container, offers chocolate milk, fresh fruit, and other items. Scout troops provide a pancake breakfast included with race registration.
Youth pricing applies automatically for participants 17 and under. Minimum ages on race day are 13 for the half marathon and 6 for the 5K. The course open times are listed as 3 hours for the half marathon and 1 hour for the 5K. The virtual events have registration deadlines in August 2026.
Awards
Half marathon and 5K awards include overall, masters (age 40+), and grand master categories. Top three male and female finishers are recognized in 5-year age groups (half marathon groups begin 13-15; 5K groups begin 6-9 and continue up to 80+). A $100 course record bonus is available for new records in the Half Marathon or 5K. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
