Maria's Miles : 5K Run/Walk in Downtown Gibsonburg
Maria's Miles is a community 5K Run/Walk held in Downtown Gibsonburg to raise funds for the recovery of an injured officer from the Gibsonburg Police Department. The event takes place on September 19, 2026, and is part of a larger community gathering in the downtown area that includes food, music, raffles, games, a car show, a cornhole tournament, kids activities, and a kickball tournament.
The 5K follows a looped course through residential streets, starting and finishing in Downtown Gibsonburg. The course will be monitored for safety. Leashed dogs and baby strollers are permitted on the course.
Registration opens on September 2, 2026 at 12:00 and closes on September 13, 2026 at 23:59. The registration fee is $20.00. Race shirts are guaranteed to participants who register online by 11:59pm on Sunday, September 13, 2026; a limited number of shirts will be available on the day of the event. Shirt pickup and race day registration begin near the Gibsonburg Library on W. Madison Street.
One hundred percent of the proceeds from Maria's Miles will go to support the officer's recovery. There will be no age group awards for this event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
