Acorn Bank 10k
The Acorn Bank 10k starts and finishes in the grounds of the Acorn Bank National Trust property. The route is an accurately measured 10k, registered with Run Events (formerly Run Britain), and runs along country lanes and tarmac footpaths. The course is undulating.
Parking, race registration and toilets are located in the grounds of Acorn Bank. Parking is coordinated by marshals and there is a suggested donation of £5 per car for parking; this includes entry to the estate, gardens and house on the day. All parking proceeds go to Acorn Bank (National Trust). Eden Runners donate £2 from each entry towards conservation projects at Acorn Bank.
All finishers receive a slice of Traybakes flapjack; a vegan option is available. Prizes are awarded to the first three overall male and female finishers and in categories including U23, V40, V50, V60, V70 and the first club or team of three.
The minimum age is 15 years on the day and the race entry limit is 200. Under UKA rules the wearing of in-ear or over-ear headphones is not permitted; bone conducting headphones that do not cover the ears are allowed. Medically prescribed hearing aids should be declared to the race organisers before the race. Running with dogs is not permitted. Spectating children under 15 must be accompanied by an adult. The event holds Race Licence #31418 and has associated event terms and a cancellation/refund policy. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
