Acorn Bank 10k
The Acorn Bank 10k starts and finishes in the grounds of the Acorn Bank National Trust property near Temple Sowerby, Penrith. The event is an undulating road race on an accurately measured 10 km route registered with Run Events. The course runs along country lanes and tarmac footpaths.
Parking, race registration and toilets are located in the grounds of Acorn Bank. Parking will be managed by marshals and there is a suggested donation of £5 per car which includes entry to the estate, gardens and house on the day. All parking proceeds will go to Acorn Bank National Trust. Eden Runners will donate £2 from each entry towards conservation projects at Acorn Bank.
Entry is limited to 200 participants and the minimum age is strictly 15 years on the day of the race. Entry fees listed are £16 for UKA members and £18 for non members. Prizes are awarded to the first three male and female finishers overall and in additional categories including U23, V40, V50, V60, V70 and first club or team of three.
Race rules note that in ear and over ear headphones are not permitted. Bone conducting devices that do not cover the ears are allowed. Running with dogs is not permitted. Spectating children under 15 must be accompanied by an adult. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
