The Lap - Windermere Ultra Anticlockwise
THE LAP - Windermere Ultra Anticlockwise is a fully way-marked 47-mile trail ultra circumnavigating England's largest lake, Windermere, in the Lake District. The route runs anticlockwise with the lake on your left, starting near Low Cunsey Farm, Ambleside. Open to runners and walkers, it features generous cut-offs and a predominantly track, trail and single-track course with some steeper fell paths and occasional quiet roads.
The event provides GPS tracking, a map and GPX, plus around 2,500 route-mark arrows. Five fully stocked aid stations plus a halfway feed station with bag drop, a finishers meal, and a locally sourced medal. Complete within 24 hours. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
