THE LAP - Windermere Ultra Anticlockwise is scheduled for 12 to 13 September 2026 at Low Cunsey Farm, Cunsey, Ambleside, Cumbria LA22 0LU. The event is currently full and no new entries can be made. Minimum age for entry is 16 on the event date. Entries opened on 14 September 2025 and closed on 29 August 2026. The published entry fee was £135.00.

Course and support

The route is a fully way-marked trail ultra of 47 miles that circumnavigates Lake Windermere. Participants have a 24-hour limit to complete the course. The surface is mainly tracks, trail and single track, with some steeper fell paths and occasional short sections of quiet country road. Route marking includes around 2,500 arrows. Organisers provide a GPS tracker, a map and GPX files; a recce GPX file is supplied with entry confirmation and an event GPX with permissive routes is issued before the event. There are five fully stocked aid stations, including a halfway aid station with bag drop. All finishers receive a meal and a locally sourced finishers medal.
