The Lap - Windermere Ultra Anticlockwise
The Lap - Windermere Ultra Anticlockwise is a 47 mile trail ultra marathon that circumnavigates England's largest lake in the Lake District. The route follows an anticlockwise direction, keeping the lake on the left side throughout the journey. The course is primarily situated on low-level tracks, trails, and single-track paths, featuring some steeper fell sections and occasional short stretches of quiet country roads.
Participants have a 24-hour time limit to complete the course, which takes in various viewpoints around Lake Windermere. The event is open to both runners and walkers, with a minimum age requirement of 16 years. The course is fully way-marked with approximately 2,500 route marking arrows.

To support participants, the event provides five fully stocked feed stations, including a halfway aid station with a bag drop facility. Participants receive a GPS tracker, a map, and a GPX file for navigation. Those who finish the event are provided with a meal and a locally sourced finishers medal.
