Event overview

THE LAP - Windermere Ultra Anticlockwise is a way-marked trail ultra scheduled for Saturday 12th to Sunday 13th September 2026. The route circumnavigates Lake Windermere and is listed at 47 mile. The event is open to runners and walkers and has a minimum age of 16 on the event date. The entry fee is £135. Entries are currently full and no new entries can be made. Course and services

The course is predominantly on tracks, trail and single track, with some steeper fell paths and occasional short sections of quiet country road. The route is fully way-marked with 2,500 route marking arrows. Participants are allowed 24 hours to complete the circuit. The event provides a GPS tracker, a map and GPX files; a recce GPX is attached to the entry confirmation and the event GPX is issued before the event. There are five fully stocked feed stations, including a halfway aid station with bag drop. A finishers meal is provided to finishers regardless of finish time, and finishers receive a locally sourced medal. The event location is Low Cunsey Farm, Cunsey, Ambleside, Cumbria, LA22 0LU.
