Old Crown Round Fell Race

Old Crown Round is a category AL fell race organized by Northern Fells Running Club. Based in Hesket Newmarket at the Old Crown Pub, the 36km course climbs about 2200m and loops through the high Northern Fells of the Lake District. Checkpoints are placed on Carrock Fell, Blencathra, Skiddaw House, Skiddaw, Knott and High Pike; the terrain blends road, track, paths and open fell and demands strong navigational skills.

A Carrock Fell cut-off (70 minutes) applies; if not met, runners may continue via river crossings to Skiddaw House with no prizes. Poles are allowed to aid participation.
