The Flying Fox is a 7-hour Time Challenge held at The Last Hop, Unit 2, Thames Edge Court, Clarence Street, Staines, TW18 4SU. The next scheduled race date is Saturday 21 March 2026. Entry at the listed member price of £23.00 is available only to members; members are guaranteed entry and receive a mini-me medal pin at events. Final race-day instructions are sent by email in the week before the event. Number pick up is on the day at race registration.

Course, distances and facilities

The course runs along a stretch of the River Thames and is fully signed. Surfaces are mainly well-made paths and tarmac with a very short grass section; road shoes are suitable. Headphones are allowed. The event provides an aid table and drinks at the start/finish of each lap, with sweet and savory snacks and vegan options. Toilets and changing facilities are available at the venue and open from 8am. There is unsecured bag storage at the start/finish. Parking is available at Bridge Street Car Park, Staines, TW18 4TP.

• 3 km minimum distance to be an official finisher and receive the fox medal
• 7 km full lap (4.37 miles), may change to a 3.28 mile loop
• 3 laps = half-marathon, 6 = marathon, 7+ = ultra; 50 km option available
• Pins for Half-Marathon, Mega-Half, Marathon, 50km and Ultra are issued on the medal ribbon
• Goody bags provided, with a vegan option if requested during entry
