Event Overview
The Saturn 7 Hour Time Challenge is a flexible distance event taking place along the River Thames in Staines-upon-Thames. Participants have a seven-hour limit to complete as many or as few laps as they choose. The course is primarily flat, consisting of well-made paths, tarmac, and a very short grass section. It is a fully signed route that follows the river, making road shoes suitable for the terrain.

Participants must complete at least 3 km to be recognized as an official finisher. The event utilizes a lap system where a full lap is approximately 7 km (4.37 miles), though this may be adjusted to a 5.27 km (3.28 mile) loop depending on course conditions. Available milestones based on lap counts include:
- 3 km (Minimum official distance)
- 5 km (Standard distance)
- 21.1 km (Half marathon - 3 laps)
- 42.2 km (Marathon - 6 laps)
- 50 km (Ultra marathon - 7+ laps)
Specific turn points at 3 km and 5 km are provided within the lap to accommodate younger runners according to UK Athletics distance regulations.

An aid station and drinks table are located at the start and finish area of each lap, offering sweet and savoury snacks, fruit, cheese, and vegan options. The venue headquarters provides indoor toilets and changing facilities that remain open throughout the event. A designated bag drop area is available, though it is not staffed for security.
Participant Information
All finishers receive a themed medal and a goody bag, with vegan goody bags available upon request. Runners completing a half marathon distance or further are eligible for specific distance pins to attach to their medal ribbon.
