Kew Bridge Runners – Weekly 5K social run
Kew Bridge Runners is a weekly run club that offers an inclusive 5K social run in the Kew Bridge area. The session includes a gentle warm-up, a relaxed 5K route along the Thames area, and a short stretch afterwards. The advertised running pace is around 7:00 to 7:15 minutes per kilometre.
To help people run at a level they prefer, participants use coloured wristbands to indicate how much they want to chat: red for a quiet run, yellow for occasional conversation, and green for chatty and social running. The club meets inside One Over The Ait pub at Kew Bridge, 8 Kew Bridge Road, Brentford TW8 0FJ. The pub agrees to hold a small bag of belongings during the run and reserves a table afterwards for anyone who would like to stay.
The run is described as suitable for beginner runners and for people returning to running, and for those who find traditional run clubs intimidating. Notes from the organiser ask people to arrive a few minutes early and to bring a light if it is dark. Everyone is encouraged to run at their own comfort level and no one is left behind.
