Catch Me If You Can - Northampton
This is a 7-hour Time Challenge organised by Saturn Too and held at Northampton Active, Bedford Road. The event takes place on a lap course around the Northampton Washlands on well maintained paths and trail. The regular course may be shortened after a health and safety review.
Minimum distances are set by age: juniors may complete a minimum of 3 km and adults 5 km, with 3 km and 5 km turn points provided within the lap. A full lap measures 7 km (4.37 miles) and participants can run as many or as few laps as they choose, subject to UK Athletics age restrictions.
Available distances include:
- 3 km
- 5 km
- 10 km
- Half marathon (3 laps)
- Marathon (6 laps)
- Ultra marathon (7 laps or more)
- 50 km (just under 6 laps)
Finishers who complete at least 3 km receive a themed medal. Distance pins are awarded for half-marathon and longer distances and are attached to the medal ribbon. All finishers receive a goody bag, with a vegan goody bag option available. An aid and drinks table is provided at the start and finish of each lap with drinks and snacks, including vegan options.
Facilities include toilets only; there are no separate changing rooms or showers. Parking at the venue is limited and nearby paid parking may be available. A bag drop is provided but is not secure. Membership offers a £10 discount on entry and guarantees entry plus a mini-me medal pin. Runners are asked to be considerate of other public path users.
