Catch Me If You Can - Northampton
Catch Me If You Can is a seven hour Time Challenge organised by Saturn Too at Northampton Active, around the Northampton Washlands. The event allows participants to choose how far they run within the seven hour period, with minimum distances set by age.
Distances:
- 3 km minimum for juniors
- 5 km minimum for adults
- Full lap 4.37 miles or 7 km
- Half marathon equals 3 laps
- Marathon equals 6 laps
- Ultra equals 7 laps or more
- 50 km is just under 6 laps
The course uses well maintained paths and trail. The regular route may be altered following a health and safety review.
Runners who complete at least 3 km are official finishers and receive a themed medal. Distance pins are available for half marathon and longer and are attached to the medal ribbon. Finishers receive a goody bag and a vegan goody bag option is offered. An aid table and drinks table are available at the start and finish of each lap, with drinks and a selection of snacks including vegan options.
Members are eligible for the lowest entry price, which is £10 lower than the full price, receive guaranteed entry and a mini-me medal pin. Event prices range from £18 to £34 depending on distance.
Toilets are available at the venue but there are no separate changing facilities or showers. Parking at the venue is limited and nearby parking may incur charges. A bag drop area is provided but it is not secure. The event takes place on public footpaths so participants should be considerate of other path users.
