The Rubber Ducky Dash - North
The event takes place at Herrington Country Park, Penshaw, New Herrington, on 20 September 2026. It is organised as a 7 hour Time Challenge that lets entrants choose how many laps to complete. The minimum distance recorded for a finisher is 3 km. A full lap measures about 7 km (4.37 miles) but may be changed to a 3.28 mile loop depending on course conditions. The route is inside the country park and the final course will be announced a few weeks before the event.
Finishers who complete at least 3 km receive a rubber duck themed medal and a rubber duck. Additional distance pins are awarded for half marathon distance and above; one pin is attached to the medal ribbon to reflect the achievement. A goody bag is provided to finishers, with a vegan option available when requested. An aid table and drinks table are available at the start and finish of each lap offering drinks and a selection of sweet and savoury snacks, including vegan options.
Toilets and car parking are available at the venue. A bag drop is provided at the start and finish area but it is not secure. Headphones are allowed. The event is held on public footpaths so runners are asked to be considerate of other path users. Membership pricing and entry guarantees are available for members.
