Great North 5K

AJ Bell Great North 5k is a flat, city-center 5-kilometre race set along Newcastle and Gateshead's Quayside in the North East. The mass run uses a single 5km loop past iconic Tyne River views, while the elite curtain-raiser features fast 5k laps on the same weekend's program. The event is famed for its vibrant atmosphere, strong local support, and entertainment, with a festive Friday-night vibe as part of the North East’s biggest weekend of sport.
