Course and event details
The course is a flat 5k route that crosses both the Swing Bridge and the Millennium Bridge and finishes at a grandstand on the River Tyne. Organisers note a small change to the route for this year. Temporary road closures, car park closures and parking restrictions will be in place around the event, including on Newcastle Quayside, South Shore Road, Swing Bridge and Pipewellgate. Runners receive a medal, an optional event t-shirt, a finisher pack and a personalised race number. Official photographs will be available after the event. Runners who forgo a finisher t-shirt at entry will trigger a donation to the National Trust Woodlands Appeal as part of the event fulfilment option. Free training resources and access to post-event runner discounts are provided. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
