Event overview

The AJ Bell Great North 5k takes place on Friday 11 September 2026 and is a 5k road run held on Newcastle and Gateshead Quayside. Route and logistics

The course runs around the Quayside and crosses the Swing Bridge and the Millennium Bridge, finishing on the Tyne at a grandstand finish.
