Event overview

The Turbine Backyard Ultra is scheduled for Saturday 19 September 2026 at West Shields Farm, Satley, near Tow Law, Durham. The event uses the backyard ultra format: competitors must complete a 4.1-mile loop on the hour each hour until only one runner remains. A bell is sounded on the hour; runners who are not in the starting area before the bell are recorded as DNFs. The minimum age is 18. Solo entry is listed as £104–£106 and team entry is £450 for up to five people. Team scores count while at least two team members remain running; once a team is reduced to one runner that person is classed as a solo entrant. Prizes are offered for the last person standing, assist, and last team standing.
