Course and facilities
The routes run on undulating, well-marked trail terrain through Hamsterley Forest. Descriptions note forest tracks, winding trails and open vistas, with shaded stretches beneath pines and clearings offering wide views. Each kilometre is marked with distance flags and marshals guide and cheer along the course. Results are chip-timed.
