Saturn Running - Cwmdare
The Doughnut Dash is a flexible distance event held at Dare Valley Country Park in Aberdare. This event features a 7 hour time challenge format where participants choose how many laps to complete within the time limit. The course consists of well-maintained footpaths and trails that offer views of the surrounding countryside. A standard lap is approximately 7 km (4.37 miles), though this may change to a 5.28 km (3.28 mile) loop based on ground conditions.
Participants can complete various distances to earn official finisher status, including:

- 5 km
- 10 km
- Half Marathon
- Marathon
- 50 km
- Ultra Marathon
Special turn points are available at 3 km and 5 km to accommodate younger runners and UK Athletics distance regulations. An aid station at the start and finish of each lap provides a variety of sweet and savoury snacks, including vegan options and ice cream. All finishers receive a themed medal and a goody bag. Runners completing a half marathon or further are also eligible for specific distance pins.
The venue provides free parking and on-site toilets, though there are no dedicated changing rooms or showers. A cafe is located near the race headquarters for hot food and drinks.
