The San Domenico 20/10 Miler is organised by San Domenico RC and takes place on 29 March 2026 in Merthyr Tydfil, with the venue listed as Merthyr Leisure Village, CF48 1UT. Distances offered:

Entry fees are stated as: 10 Miler affiliated £18, un-affiliated £20; 20 Miler affiliated £30, un-affiliated £32. Entry limits are given as 150 places for the 10 mile race and 250 places for the 20 mile race. Results are chip timed and entries include a race number and timing chip to collect on the day. A finisher memento is provided.
Course and rules
The course starts from the rear of Merthyr Leisure Centre and is an out-and-back route along the Taff Trail, running south to Abercanaid, Troedyrhiw and Aberfan and then returning. The route is mainly off road, generally traffic free and shared with walkers and cyclists. Ten mile runners complete one loop; 20 mile runners complete two loops.
There are water stations along the route - four for the 10 Miler and nine for the 20 Miler. The 20 Miler has a race time limit of 4 hours 30 minutes, with a course closure at the 10 mile mark after 2 hours 15 minutes. The course is fully marshalled, with a leader bike and a tail runner, and a WA licence has been applied for. Headphones are not permitted except for runners with a genuine hearing impairment. Minimum ages are 17 for the 10 Miler and 18 for the 20 Miler. Toilets, on-site parking and refreshments are available at the leisure village.
