Saturn 7 Hour Time Challenge - Aberdare
This is a 7 hour timed running event held at Dare Valley Country Park. The course uses well maintained footpaths around the park and offers countryside views. The route is suitable for road trainers but the course layout may change after a health and safety review.
Participants may run, jog, or walk and can choose how many laps to complete within the 7 hour window. A 3 km minimum distance qualifies as a finisher. Aid and drinks tables are provided at the start/finish area each lap, with a selection of drinks and savoury and sweet snacks, including vegan options. Finishers receive a themed medal and a goody bag, with a vegan goody bag available. Distance pins are given for half-marathon distance and above and are attached to the medal ribbon.
Venue facilities include toilets and a cafe near race headquarters. There are no separate changing facilities or showers. Free parking is available at the venue. A nonsecure bag drop is provided but items cannot be watched at all times. Bone conducting headphones only are permitted. Runners are asked to be considerate of other public path users.
Entry is capped at 300 participants. Entries close 24/07/2026. Minimum age is 12 years. Transfers are allowed online for £2.50 up to the day before the event; deferred entries to another event incur a fee of £18. Runners over 45 km must be at least 20 years old; 18 and 19 year olds may run up to 45 km. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
