Fully stocked aid stations are placed at approximately every 10 km. Checkpoints provide drinking water and snacks, and hot water is available for preparing food at the campsite. Registered participants receive a Race Pack by email about one month before the event. Participants may camp at Llangorse Activity Centre on the Friday and Saturday nights.
Entry benefits and policies noted by the organiser include a finisher’s medal for participants, relaxed cut-offs with on average 2 hours 30 minutes allocated per 10 km section, and a policy offering half price entry to the next edition for those who cannot finish a stage, without a medal or official result. Under 23s may participate free across all distances. Ultra X Wales races are UTMB Index Races in the 100k, 50k and 20k categories. The Great British Slam recognises entrants who finish all three GB Ultra X ultra distances in the same calendar year. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
