Ultra X Wales
Ultra X Wales is a multi-distance trail event in the Brecon Beacons / Bannau Brycheiniog near Abergavenny, held on 25 and 26 July 2026. The route runs through rolling hills, valleys and wild upland terrain. For 2026 the event uses a new course. Reported difficulty is 4/6 and technicality is 3/5. Typical temperatures are given as 14 to 22°C.

- 12 km
GPX files are available for each distance. Timing and live tracking are provided for the event. Participants may camp at Llangorse Activity Centre on the nights before and during the race weekend. A full Race Pack with detailed information, timings and cut-offs is emailed to registered participants one month before the event.
Ultra X Wales’ races are UTMB® Index Races in the 100k, 50k and 20k categories respectively. The event also forms part of the Great British Slam, which recognises runners who complete all three GB Ultra X events within a calendar year; only ultra distances count and entrants must finish each event within its cut-off time. Awards for the Slam are presented at the finish of the final event, Ultra X England.
