Ultra X Wales offers a multi-day trail running weekend in the Brecon Beacons with six distances, from a 12 km run to a challenging 110 km ultra. The event features fully stocked aid stations and is a UTMB Index Race. Runners under 23 can participate for free.

Ultra X Wales

Ultra X Wales is a multi-day trail running event in the Brecon Beacons near Abergavenny. The event takes place on July 25–26, 2026. It offers six separate races:

110 km single stage
110 km over two stages
60 km
50 km
25 km
12 km

Fully stocked aid stations are placed approximately every 10 km along the courses. Runners in the two-stage 110 km event can camp at the Llangorse Activity Centre on Friday and Saturday nights. The races are UTMB® Index Races in the 100k, 50k, and 20k categories.

Participants under the age of 23 can enter for free across all distances. A detailed race pack with information on timings and cut-offs is emailed to registered participants one month before the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
