Texas Sun Showdown Half Marathon, Relay & 5k
The Texas Sun Showdown Half Marathon, Relay & 5k is an annual running event taking place at McAllister Park in San Antonio, Texas. The event, held at Pavilion #2, features multiple distances and formats for individual runners and teams. Participants have the option to complete the course as solo runners or as part of a relay team.
The event offers several race distances:

- Virtual 5k
The 13.1 miles course for the half marathon and 2-person relay consists of two loops. For the relays, registration is handled on a per-person basis, and teams can compete in various categories including Open, Masters (40+), Super Masters (50+), Military, and specific mixed-gender categories. A time limit of four hours is in place for the full half marathon distance.
Participants are provided with a finisher medal and a themed shirt. Following the completion of the races, Texas barbecue food is served to the participants. Pre-race packet pickup is available on the Saturday preceding the event at IRUN, with additional pickup options at the park on the morning of the race.
