Salute to Service 5K - Key West
The Salute to Service, presented by The Marker Resort, is an annual event held in Key West over Memorial Day weekend to honor those who serve. The event features two primary participation options:
- 5k Run
- 5k Walk
The race takes place at 200 Williams Street. The morning program includes a color presentation and the singing of the National Anthem. Following the completion of the course, participants are provided with post-race snacks and an awards ceremony at The Marker. The festivities conclude with a pool party at the resort.
A portion of the proceeds from the event is donated to the Key West Firefighter's Hardship Fund. Participants may pick up their packets during a happy hour event on the Saturday preceding the race or on the morning of the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
