Rudolf Red Nose Run
The event features the 18th annual A Positive Step 5K Run/Walk held on December 12, 2026, in Key West, Florida. The course starts and finishes at the Southernmost Beach Café, 1405 Duval Street, and follows South Street east to Casa Marina, past Higgs Beach and White Street Pier to a turnaround point and back. All miles are marked along the route. The 5K distance is 3.1 Miles.
Registration opens August 18, 2026 and closes November 30, 2026. The published registration fee is $50, with a stated increase to $60 in December. Pre-race packet pickup is scheduled for Friday, December 11 at the Southernmost Beach Café. Race-day check-in is scheduled to begin on the morning of the event.
Awards and participant items are specified for registered entrants. Awards include overall male and female winners, masters male and female winners, and the top two male and female finishers in each 10-year age group for 5K runners. The 5K walk will receive certificates for the top three male and female finishers. Registered participants receive a collectible race bag, a commemorative race cup, and an official event T-shirt. Winners in each age category receive laser-engraved wooden medals. Prizes are also noted for most festive and unusual pajamas.
The event is presented by A Positive Step of Monroe County, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, together with the Key West Southernmost Runners Club. Donations are described as tax deductible. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
