Rudolph Red Nose Run / A Positive Step 5K
The event includes the 18th annual A Positive Step 5K Run/Walk, held on December 12, 2026, in Key West with the start and finish at Southernmost Beach Café, 1405 Duval Street. The course is a 3.1 Miles out-and-back route that heads east on South Street, continues to Casa Marina, passes Higgs Beach and White Street Pier to a turnaround point, and returns. All miles will be marked.
Awards are planned for overall men and women, masters men and women, and the top two men and women in each 10-year age group for 5K runners. Certificates are planned for the top three men and women in the 5K walk. The event also includes prizes for most festive and unusual pajamas and a silent auction. Registered participants receive a collectible race bag, a commemorative race cup, and an official event T-shirt; laser-engraved wooden medals are given to winners in each age category.
Pre-race packet pick-up is scheduled for Friday, December 11 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Southernmost Beach Café. Race-day check-in begins at 7:00 a.m. Registration opens August 18, 2026 and closes November 30, 2026; the registration fee is $50 and increases to $60 in December. The event is presented by A Positive Step of Monroe County and the Key West Southernmost Runners Club. A Positive Step is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving Monroe County youth and families.
