Salt Creek 24 - Port Angeles, WA (October 24–25, 2026)
Salt Creek 24 is a 24-hour running event held at Salt Creek Recreation Area in Port Angeles, Washington on October 24–25, 2026. Participants circle a 1.3 mile loop made up of paved and unpaved surfaces with views of the Strait of Juan de Fuca, old-growth evergreens, moss, ferns, and local World War II history.
There are three participation options: a 24-hour solo effort, a 24-hour relay team, and Last Runner Standing. Last Runner Standing requires competitors to summit Striped Peak each hour on a 3.7 mile out-and-back trail with about 1,000 feet of elevation gain until runners drop out; if more than one runner remains after hour 24, a final lap determines the winner. The Last Runner Standing listing notes a course record of 16 summits.
Race services include a fully stocked aid station with featured food items such as Bacon Hour, Mashed Potato Hour, grilled cheese, and soup, plus standard race snacks. A limited, first-come, first-serve area is available for athletes who plan short breaks and want to set up a personal aid station or canopy; that area is intended for racers planning breaks shorter than one hour. Race entry includes event SWAG. Registration opens January 1, 2026, with scheduled price increases on August 1 and October 1.
Additional details cover pacer rules, youth registration categories, campsite guidance for teams and longer breaks, a no-refund policy with transfer options, and awards for top mileage and Last Runner Standing results. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
