Salt Creek 24 - Port Angeles, WA (October 24–25, 2026)
Salt Creek 24 is an all-day, all-night running event at Salt Creek Recreation Area in Port Angeles, Washington. The event offers three formats: a 24-hour race for individuals, a 24-hour relay team option, and a Last Runner Standing competition that repeats hourly summits until one racer remains.
The 24-hour race uses a loop around the park on a combination of paved and unpaved surfaces with stairs and roughly 100 feet of elevation change in places. Participants may run or walk as many full laps as they choose within the 24-hour period and may enter and exit the course between laps. The Last Runner Standing course is an out-and-back singletrack to Striped Peak with about 3.7 miles round trip and approximately 1,000 feet of elevation gain per summit.
Race services include electronic timing with bib/chip, fully stocked aid stations featuring scheduled hot-food offerings, a limited first-come first-served area for personal aid stations, portable and flush toilets, and showers for paid campsites. Rules and safety notes include no pets on course, required lights and visible rear lighting during dark hours, and restricted pacer hours between midnight and 6:00 a.m. Camping holds are available through the event store; some racers who stop for more than one hour are advised to reserve a campsite. Awards recognize highest mileage by gender and non-binary categories, teams with most mileage, and a buckle for any individual completing 100 miles in the 24-hour race.
