The Safe Animal Shelter Fundraiser Trail Run is a fundraising trail running event held in Middleburg, Florida. All proceeds will be donated to Safe Animal Shelter. The event is the third annual edition and the organizer reports raising over $4,200 last year. Registration closes April 11, 2026.

Course and support
Runners follow the Sandridge Trail in Jennings State Forest. The half marathon is a two-loop course; the 10K is one loop; the 5K is an out-and-back. Trees are blazed with pink for the half and 10K and trails are marked with blue flags for those distances. The 5K is marked with orange flags. The route crosses several small bridges over fresh water streams and alternates between covered and open sections. The trail is described as wide and flat.
Aid stations: the half marathon and 10K have aid stations (one approximately 3 miles into the first loop with water and fueling products, and a second near the start with water). There is no aid station on the 5K. Participants are asked to bring personal hydration (hand-held bottle or hydration vest/belt).
Other details
The event is dog friendly; owners are responsible for their animals and should bring waste bags. Every participant receives a swag bag and a free raffle ticket.
