2026 Dick's Run to the Sun 5K

The Run to the Sun 5K is an athletic event held in Orange Park, Florida. Organized by the Florida Striders Track Club, the race follows an out-and-back course along River Road. This course is known for being flat and scenic, featuring river breezes. The event is part of the 1st Place Sports Grand Prix Series.

The primary race options include:

Participants in the 5 km race can expect a water station at the halfway point, along with snacks and water available after crossing the finish line. Finisher medals are provided to the first 600 participants who complete the course. Awards are presented to top finishers in several categories, including overall male and female, Masters, Grand Masters, and the top three finishers in each age group.

The Florida Striders Track Club operates as a nonprofit organization. Proceeds from the registration fees are donated to support local youth fitness programs and initiatives. Runners under the age of 18 are eligible for a discounted entry rate. Packet pickup is available on the day before the event at locations in Jacksonville or on the morning of the race near the start line at 455 Park Avenue.
