Rye Summer 10k & 5k Series: Race Three
This event is the third race in a five-race summer series held at The Point, Rye Harbour Nature Reserve in East Sussex. The reserve includes interlocking shingle ridges, saltmarsh, intertidal grazing, reed-beds and saline lagoons. Wind can affect conditions on the reserve; if conditions are favourable then quick times are possible.
Races are organised on tarmac and described as flat and fast. Distances offered at this edition include:
- 10k
- 5k
- 1k Junior run (chip timed)
Route maps and GPX files are available for download. Finish items for participants include bespoke medals for the 10k and 5k, a finisher medal for the junior run, and trophies. The full series takes place on the following Fridays in 2026: 08 May, 05 June, 10 July, 07 August and 04 September. Event information is sent to registered entrants before race day. On-the-day entry fees are listed for the different distances, with the junior run noted at £7 and other distances charged separately.
