Event Overview

The Rye Summer Classic Series is a five-race series held at Rye Harbour Nature Reserve in East Sussex. This event is the third race in the series. The course is on tarmac and is described as flat and fast. The landscape of the reserve includes shingle ridges, saltmarsh, grazing land, reed-beds, and saline lagoons. Conditions can be windy.

Distances

The event offers three race distances:

  • Junior Run (1k)

Participant Information

A bespoke medal is provided for 10k and 5k finishers. A finisher medal is given for the Junior Run. Trophies are also awarded. On-the-day entry fees are listed as £25 for the 10k, £20 for the 5k, and £7 for the Junior Run, subject to availability. The 5k is open to entrants aged 11 and over, and the 10k is open to those aged 15 and over.

Series Information

The full series of five races takes place on Fridays in May, June, July, August, and September. Registration for the entire series is only available before the first race in May. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
