Event Overview

The Romney Marsh 10k is a road running event organized by Nice Work on behalf of the Romney Marsh Rotary Club. Set in the Kentish heartland, the race takes place in the town of New Romney. The event is held under UK Athletic Rules and features an accurately measured course with a certificate of course accuracy.

The course primarily utilizes flat tarmac country lanes, providing views of the surrounding landscape. While the majority of the route consists of hard surfaces, the final 30 meters to the finish line are situated on grass. Due to the level terrain, the course is often used by those seeking a fast time.

Participants can choose between two primary distances:

  • 10 km
  • Children's Dash

The 10 km race is open to entrants aged 15 and over. Registered participants receive event information prior to the race day. On-site facilities include free parking within the village, though participants are asked to park considerately.

All finishers receive a bespoke medal. Additionally, a £50.00 cash prize is awarded to the first male and first female finishers in the 10k category. The event supports local causes and the humanitarian efforts of the Rotary Club. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
