Rye Summer Classic Series

The event is part of the Rye Summer Classic Series, a five-race summer series. This specific race is the second event, taking place at the Rye Harbour Nature Reserve in East Sussex.

The course runs through the coastal landscape of the reserve. The terrain features interlocking shingle ridges, saltmarsh, intertidal grazing, reed-beds, and saline lagoons. The surface is tarmac, and the route is described as flat and potentially fast, though it can be windy on the reserve.

Available distances include:

  • 10 km
  • 5 km
  • A 1 km Junior Run (not chip-timed)

Participants receive a bespoke medal. Trophies and prizes are available for leading runners. T-shirts are included for full series entries, but not for individual race entries.

Entry fees are listed as on-the-day prices (subject to availability):

  • 10 km: £25
  • 5 km: £20
  • Junior Run: £7

Online registration for individual races has different prices, with the 10 km at £22, the 5 km at £16, and the Junior Run at £7. The full series of five races can only be booked before the first race in May. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
