Rye Summer 10k & 5k Series: Race Two
This event is the second race in a five-race summer series held at The Point, Rye Harbour Nature Reserve, Rye, East Sussex TN31 7TU. The reserve includes interlocking shingle ridges, saltmarsh, intertidal grazing, reed-beds and saline lagoons, giving a coastal setting for the races.
The course surface is tarmac and is described as flat and fast. Conditions on the reserve can be windy, and faster times are possible when conditions are favourable. Detailed route maps and GPX files are available for download.
Distances
- 10k - open to entrants aged 15 and over
- 5k - open to entrants aged 11 and over
- 1k Junior run (not chip timed)
What is included for entrants depends on entry type. Series entries receive a bespoke medal and eligible series entrants may receive a t-shirt; t-shirts are not valid with individual entries. Trophies and prizes are awarded to leading runners. On-the-day entry fees are listed as £25 for the 10k, £20 for the 5k and £7 for the junior run, subject to availability. Full-series booking is only available before the May race takes place. Event information is sent to registered entrants prior to race day.
