The Ashford Striders Charing 10k is a Friday evening road and trail race centred on Charing Playing Fields, Charing, Ashford TN27 0JJ. The event features a main 10 km race plus a Junior Run; the junior event is not chip timed. The course uses tarmac, quiet country lanes and a short trail section and is described as undulating, with a notable climb and downhill sections along part of the Pilgrims Way toward Eastwell.

Parking is not available on the playing fields; parking is arranged in a nearby field and subject to marshal directions and stewarding. Village parking must follow local restrictions and considerate parking is requested. Charing train station is roughly half a mile from the playing fields and local bus services also serve the area.
