Bewl Water Summer
This is a scenic bi-annual race series organised by Hermes Running. Events start near the Bewl Water Visitor Centre in Lamberhurst, Kent, and follow the reservoir loop. Courses run on a combination of undulating rural wooded trail and some quiet country lanes, with views of the lake for much of the route.
Distances and formats:
- 10 km - out-and-back 3.1 miles, marshalled turnaround.
- Half marathon - 13.1 miles, one 12.5 mile loop plus a short starter loop.
- Marathon - 26.5 miles, initial loop then two 12.5 mile loops.
- 50 km Ultra - 31.25 miles, two 12.5 loops and a 6.25 mile final loop.
Distances were measured using a Garmin Fenix 6X Pro-Solar watch; trail lines can vary so actual distances may differ slightly and the marathon is noted as slightly longer. Event information includes course maps, GPX routes, a route video and event medals.
