There are two entry categories: a standard 5K run/walk and a COMPETITIVE WALKING 5K. The competitive walking category requires participants to walk the entire course with no running or jogging allowed. Published registration fees show $33.70 for regular registration and $35.00 for day of event; the competitive walking entry is shown at $33.70. Additional post race party tickets are offered separately.
Amenities include gender specific tech shirts, giveaway items, and a post race party with food and beer for participants 21 and over. Limited parking is available for a fee at the venue; meters and side streets offer free parking until 10:00 am. Organizers note that gates on parking lots must not be moved or raised.
Timing is by chip using the MYLAPS BibTag system provided by R2R Timing. Awards for overall male and female and masters are scored by gun time; other age groups are scored by chip (net) time. Top finisher gift card awards and age group awards are listed, and results will be posted online. No dogs are allowed, bibs are nontransferable, and registrations are nonrefundable.
